I have really bad memory and can't remember if I sent a request or not but can you please make some parent yandere headcannons for reagen Ridley? Where the child was adopted by Reagen, please.

OR where a 14 year old joins the cognito task force and views Gigi as a mother figure because the mother who abandoned them acted like her? You can choose which one to do.

I’m going to do Reagan, although I do have another request similar to this

She doesn’t know what to do

She didn’t have good parental role models so she doesn’t really know where to begin on being a good mom to you

She doesn't want to be like her father, so she tries everything to do better

You've met Rand less than a handful amount of times and each other was not on purpose. Also, he was an asshole each time, considering you 'Not a real Ridley' which really pissed off Reagan

You’re the only one she puts above work

If you’re sick or not feeling good, she’s off work and getting you from school to take you home (or just taking off work to take care of you)

She doesn’t care to much if you’re smart, in fact she encourages you to be like everyone else. She wants the absolute best for you

If you play sports, she goes to your games. Reads a whole bunch of books about them, so she can rig watch them. You haven’t lost a single game since she’s started showing up!

Is always the loudest because she wants everyone to know that she's proud of you

She goes to every assembly, award show, recital, etc that you have. She doesn't want to miss out on anything

Thinking about Reagan Ridley, Hunter Clawthorne, Eleanor Shellstrop, Barney Stinson, Finn Mertens and Gwen Stacy (and even abed nadir to an extent) and how they all came face to face with the version of themselves that their families loved. And it wasn't them.

It was Barney and Eleanor's little siblings.

thinking (and rewatching..) inside job again and i dont think rand is that bad of a father? i mean, he made a lot of mistakes and he doesn’t even feel bad ab it, even tho he traumatized reagan and a lot, but he was never absent. he acts like he cared ab reagan’s career just bc it could help his career, but that’s not true. he pushes her to be the best all the time and it’s bad, but he genuinely cares ab her so much. and the whole ‘creating crises to force her to hang out w him’ thing is fucked up, but it’s cute that he just wants to hang out w her that bad. most fathers literally don’t care enough ab their kids to do any of that. most fathers don’t even know their kids as much as he knows her. maybe my standards are just insanely low, probably, but he’s a better parent than 90% of the parents i know

i think the gender thing re: palpatine comes 1) from his perceived physical weakness and his old man appearance and 2) from his dark side seduction. just like dracula hes not fully perceived as a man the way masculinity standards allow - there is something feminine about him that is actually hiding THE Father - the one who only wants to survive and dominate his children by establishing his authority as supreme through lineage. but his behavior explicitates a devious sexual threat that is far from the reassuring sexual dominance of the Father..... somethings too sly about him. he fundamentally comes off as effeminate and therefore dangerous. im saying ALL this as in cultural stereotypes not shite i myself believe re: women men fathers mothers and roles adbvgfh. you know.
